MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING DISTURBANCE IN HEDNESFORD

A man has been arrested following a disturbance in Hednesford where a man was reportedly threatened with a firearm.

Armed officers were called to McGhie Street, West Hill, at around 2.50pm today (Wednesday 3 June).

A 20-year-old man, from Cannock, has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

He remains in custody for questioning.

Officers searched the scene and seized an imitation firearm, cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
